Inside, you’ll find a relaxed bar, a dining room that champions local produce, and a warm welcome for muddy boots and four-legged friends.

					  We needed a break and this was perfect for us. We booked for 4 nights and found all the staff welcoming and polite. We had a lot of dealings with... read more Corey who we found to be helpful, warm and attentive. Also, the lady who served us breakfast every morning was bright and bubbly and looked after us.

This hotel is very well presented with rooms that have lovey fixtures and fittings. Our dining experience was very good and enjoyed all the food that was served to us.

We will definitely be returning.

					  One night stay as a couple. Rooms immaculately done out and no expense spared on fixtures & fittings,and to a good modern taste. Bar area could have been a bit... read more cozier but clean and welcoming. Food average. Chicken tenders were gorgeous but didn't go with the massive chunks of crudite. Steak pie was gorgeous,great pastry.burger was very underwhelming. Breakfast was great but could have done with a better quality sausage. Overall service was very good and will definitely return!

					  when you see Gastropub , you might think of The Joiners Arms in Newton , so booked here for food, as we were staying in a cottage in a nearby... read more village.

The outside of the venue looked smart , but the village is a bit odd, it looks like it has been totally taken over and resembles a holiday resort , rather than a Northumbrian Village.

The inside of The Apple Inn just has no atmosphere , it's a big souless dining room. There was a screen placed at the end of the dining area , with piles of chairs just dumped , just a general lack of attention to detail and first impressions. The food was average but nothing more . I've no doubt it is busy with people staying in the multitude of Caravans, Huts and Cottages. Honestly it's not worth driving to , there are lots of other great local pubs that do a far better job !
